How Will The Theaters Affect PBF-JMM PPV Sales?

This has to hurt buys because I seriously doubt the Theater will charge you PPV prices. This is a pretty cool think for boxing & GBP but I do think it could possibly backfire on Floyd when it comes to him negotiating with Arum in the future. On the flip side, if he does great numbers despite this, despite the UFC card, and despite everyone calling it a joke fight that cant sell anything, he will be in a great negotiating position

Well it opens up a youngeer audience who doesn't pay the bills, it is easier to come up with $15 then $65, I would think people that buy PPV are an older audience so they might get some cross over but I would think it would be largely uneffected.

it can hurt ppv buys but it will bring more views becaise i think 15 dollars will be the tickets and thats a really nice price for casual fans to go see the fight.

Why would someone go to the theater to watch commercials?

I think its smart because the PPV buys will undoubtedly be lower then the Pacquiao-Cotto PPV buys. But this way, Maywather can point to this theatre thing saying that a lot of Potential PPV buyers went to the theatre instead, causing a lower PPV rate.

Also because the theatre charges per person, where as 10 people can watch a PPV and there is no way of telling. So mayweather can inflate the # of viewers for his fight

170 theatres will carry the actual fight on fight night. Kinda like the throwback Ali-Frazier ****.
