Margarito was ahead on the cards (except for one that was even) and rightfully so. Even though Cotto won the the majority of the first half of the fight, I scored the second round for Margarito and I made the sixth round a 10-8 round because Cotto got dominated. Cotto won't ever win a rematch against this guy because he is not good enough. Half the things you listed are not Cotto's strengths and the other half is things he already tried. He was the one that got roughed up and Margarito beat him at his own game. Margarito got a couple of low blows in on him, but karma is a ***** with the **** that Cotto pulled in the Zab fight.
As for strategy, I fail to see exactly what Cotto did wrong. For 6 rounds he was absolutely making the guy look like an amateur who had a very very solid chin, and nothing more. Once the 7th came it just all of a sudden changed, I'm not going to say Marg used, but I'm not going to say he didn't either. There isn't enough evidence to prove he did it, but there is more than enough to question his win about it. We'll really never know if Cotto just got tired or if the plaster was in play and lead to Cotto's massive loss of stamina, and I think that's what it was. If there were a rematch Cotto should just do exactly what he did and instead of moving away he should just clinch Marg. I agree with the TS that his machismo of not grabbing hurt him just as much as the wraps. A 5 punch combo of 2 or 3 solid shots landing then a clinch is a sure fire win against Marg.Comment

There shouldn't have been a 10-8 round in the fight without a knockdown. As much as Cotto was being hit, he was also popping Marg right back. A 10-8 is scored if the guy is just getting slaughtered and not doing much back and that did not happen this fight, also the second round could have gone either way.

If Cotto and Margarito were to rematch, I would pick Cotto to win and by stoppage also.
I think Margarito's chin has finally been cracked, There's no going back for him now.
If his chin hasn't been cracked though, He will win again.Comment

He was outboxing him easily? I'm no Margarito fan at all, but I know how to call a fight the way I see it. Cotto barely won the rounds that went to him and he got dominated in the rounds that he lost. This was especially true in the sixth round and the last two rounds.Comment

O.o Cotto was barely winning the first 6 or 7 rounds? Then in the same paragraph you claim you know how to call a fight? I'll give you the "I call it like I see it" comment, but you must be legally blind because there is no way Cotto was "barely" winning those first 6 rounds. The second round was close but the entire first half of that fight was a complete boxing clinic.Comment
