Cuz Clottey suffered a 1st rd flash and let the 12th rd go. Even at that, there were still mad people who felt he got a raw deal. And he did, at least accordin to the scores they gave. But the decision was ok.
Something's wrong here, why werent there this many people standing up for Clottey?

cause this site is infested with Cotto fans, i was enraged and still feel he lost. Not only did Clottey land more but he was also fouled twice with pretty serious fouls and Cotto's favorite ref didn't even warn Cotto, let alone take a point for a ****ing body slam and a rabbit punch, which would have made the knockdown a non factor. I'm not saying take two points but one or a warning was not unreasonable. factor in the money of the Pac bout the fact that it was Cotto's backyard and that Arum controled the event and it's not hard to figure out, Emanuel even had a hard time trying to lie after the fight..."I felt Cotto lost but now the emotion has taken over and despite being out boxed and losing I feel he won now" lmao or something to that effect...Paulie did the right thing after the fight make a ****ing scene and go off , what the **** does a fighter got to lose if he feels in his herat he was robbed why let them **** you without going off and trying to expose the truth?Comment

Clottey came into the fight answering the media that he won't get robbed because they're both from Top Rank. Little did he know.
While on the other hand, Malignaggi took no **** before and after the fight. He put everyone on blast and said things that us fans would say. That's why Malignaggi is being defended a little more than Clottey.Last edited by Kevin Jesus; 08-23-2009, 10:50 PM.Comment

because it was clottey's fault that he lsot, he should of put more pressure on miguel especially in the last 3 rounds but he didn't and for that reason most people gave cotto the last 3 or 4 rounds giving cotto a close decision winComment

Many more people (on this site specifically) thought Cotto did enough to warrant the decision going his way and felt Clottey gave away a winnable fight.
Several people here had plenty to say about the Cotto/Clottey decision too, but overall there was less remorse for Joshua because most could see that Clottey didn't close the show properly. I had Cotto winning 114-113 FYI and couldn't really see him winning more than 6 rounds in that particular fight. The rounds Clottey won he won BIG, so I believe that made it seem like more of a landslide and led to some folk being very outraged with the decision.
I enjoy watching Diaz fight and dislike watching Malignaggi, but I felt he was the clear winner and 100% correct in everything he said after the fight. Just a bad, bad decision.Comment
