It makes more sense to fight Berto, because he has a belt and he is undefeated. It would look better for Mosley. I pick him to beat either of them though.

So Cotto will have a tuneup next
You need all 4 titles to be undisputed champ, not 3, and it would leave out either Cotto or Pacquiao. Whoever wins that fight will be considered the #2 welterweight at the very least.

Mosley had a close second fight with a better version of Clottey and without the quick, accurate jab. You need a good jab to beat Mosley and neither Clottey nor Berto have that. Berto's stamina won't allow him to compete for long against Mosley. When he wasn't allowed to hold against Collazo, he gassed in 4.

      Mosley-Clottey: Mosley 8-4 type UD
      Mosley-Berto: Mosley mid round TKO

I don't understand why people use this logic. I'm telling everybody, Arum won't give Mosley a shot at the Pacquiao-Cotto winner if he beats Berto instead of Clottey. I wouldn't be suprised to see Arum try to match up Cotto in rematches with Margarito or Clottey if he gets past Pacquiao. And he would at least try to match up the Valero-Soto winner with Manny before he would put him in the ring with Floyd or Shane. Mosley needs to go the Clottey route. Being unified does not bring the big fights or gain leverage. Look at Timothy Bradley. The sanctioning bodies won't allow a unified champ. At least not long enough to make a difference.

If Mosley beat Clottey more convincingly than Cotto did and Pacquiao beat Cotto in their fight, it would make it look like Pacquiao needs to tie up loose ends by getting in the ring with Shane and there would be more demand for the fight than if Mosley beat an unproven guy like Berto.
