Kellerman has been a ridiculously biased nuthugger in the past but has gotten a little less biased recently, HBO must have told him to tone down his obvious biases, especially towards Euro fighters. Max has always been obsessed with slick fighters who talk **** and act like wannabe gangster's.
MAX KELLERMAN outclassed the other HBO commentators

Lewis is absolute dead weight on every telecast. He offers nothing to the show except pointing out the obvious, and not even doing a good job of that. I was a fan of Lennox as a fighter, but as a commentator he truly sucks.I always liked Max, since back in his early ESPN days but honestly, when Lennox is commentating with you, it will make you look like a veteran.
I absolutely hate Lennox! Roy and Big George should come back. Lennox is absolutely terrible.
He says the most ******ed obvious comments.Comment

Kellerman was still being a bit an HBO boy,
Emanuel Steward is horrendous,Always bitching about how cotto fights.
Kellerman is good but needs to go back to being the Fan/Announcer and not the HBO boy or at least one or the other because if he is not bashing Pacman,Swinging on Mosley hes always doing on or the other. Thats all I find annoying about him but he is not as bad as anyone on the Cotto-Clottey fight,Cotto was getting bashed beyond beliefe against a man who was crying for dear life to get cotto a point deducted and Cotto it was still Cotto's fault because he was moving and boxing?...Amazing.
Douche bag of Emanuel Steward,He sucks as a trainer too living off of Thomas Hearns that old **** ruins career'sComment

Without a doubt Max is the best commentator currently on HBO. He might do some favorable commentating for a fighter here and there, but in all honestly, which commentator HASN'T? He gives very smart facts, and just plain loves boxing the way he talks about it. He knows his **** and makes Lennox sound like a 2 year old idiot who doesn't say anything you don't already know with your own two eyes on the screen. Bob Poppa is just there almost like to keep the tape rolling but doesn't say much usefulness either. I think Max is the future of HBO commentating for boxing and I appreciate his work and honesty when he lays out the facts. I also appreciated what he said about PM at the end about his marketability because it makes you understand alittle bit more about the politics behind boxing and it's better than hearing Merchant talk like a book at the end sometimes.Comment

But Lennox is a professional in a way that some of the other color guys have not been. George was often daft and at times confrontational on the air. And George couldn't give a damn because he has just gotten a check for $145 million for his GF Grills.
Roy was insightful, but completely unprofessional OFF the air. HBO asks for their team to get to the fight city on Wednesday. Thursday at the latest. Roy said that he wanted to fly in on Saturday morning. Seriously. When pressed, he was willing to make a concession to fly in on Friday. HBO told him to kick rocks.
You need to get to the city a few days in advance to attend production meetings, attend the weigh-in, attend fighter meetings, and to generally help promote the event with your presence. Seeing Roy Jones at hotels and restaurants in your city generates excitement about the fight. He didn't get that.
Yes, Roy. We understand that you have been in boxing your whole life, and you can recognize what a fighter is doing within 30 seconds. But the job entails more than that.Comment

Max likes stylish, fast boxers. And Max is from NYC. He had every reason to favour Paulie.
And he STILL called the fight fairly. No bias.Comment
