not a fan of either fighter but i thought diaz barely won the fight. paulie was landing more but his punches had zero steam on it, diaz not a big puncher himself landed seemed to land the harder punches which won him rounds.

it doesnt matter for diaz though, the fact that he could have been possibly beaten & outboxed by paulie malignaggi doesnt bode well for him. he will get crushed by elite competition sooner rather than later.

He better wish he doesnt fight valero.

Malignaggi deserved the decision IMHO. Paulie definitely got jobbed and I'm not even a fan of his so I can be objective. There should be a rematch on neutral territory with competent judges.

i have watch the fight 3 times already and there is no way i can see diaz winning the fight ,the 1st time i watched the fight i had it 7-5 paulie after rewatching the fight i have it 8-4 paulie

Only one man won the fight and that man is Paulie Malignaggi. I had it 7 rounds to 5 for Paulie.

I scored it 116-112 for Malignaggi. I'm not a fan of his, but I was outraged by the judging in this fight.

Max Kellerman should have called it for what it was . . . a blatant robbery.

He backtracked once the decision was announced. That was Mercent's best strength, if he thought the decision was bad he wouldn't kiss the ass of the gift receiver like he won the fight legit.

Max was kissing Paulie's ass all night, him and Pappa were saying that Paulie's jab was landing when it wasn't. I'm pretty sure it was to try and balance out the pro home crowd and call it even but they went overboard.

I'm positive the biased commentary affected how people scored this fight. I had it for Diaz by a small margin but I could live with a draw, it was not a robbery.
