It's simple, Chambers - Povetking rematch both puttin up their IBF/WBO mandatory positions. By the time Wlad is ready, only one mandatory will be there.

Good point, Povetkin and Chambers don't have to fight each other, and chances are they won't, unless the sanctioning bodies force them.

Yes the rematch is good. But well Povetkin deserves the shot he beat chambers.

He was suppose to fight Wladimir last year in December, but pull out with an injury. What did Povetkin do? He fought Jason-Estrada in April, what did Wlad do? He tried to get a fight with Haye, that didn't turn out right. Now Povetkin want's another tune-up before fighting Wladimir, Povetkin doesn't sound so deserving anymore does he? Look what Chambers has done since losing to Povetkin, I say he deserves to fight Wlad more than Povetkin or at least fight Povetkin again to clear out the whole mandatory mess that Povetkin created.

Chambers-Povetkin II needs to happen, why should Wladimir be forced to fight two mandatories, there should be only one. Now that Wladimir is injured (unfortunately) Chambers-Povetkin II needs to happen.

Povetkin v Chambers makes the most sense here but I don't know if he will risk it with a shot at Wlad in the bag.

Povetkin and Chambers shouldn't fight again not just yet.Povetkin still needs more work,Give him two or three fights from now until April against decent opposition and then have him fight the winner of Chambers and Klitschko in the summer of 2010.Chambers should take a fight in november or december against a good opponent just to stay active.

The 60,000 crowd were there to see Wladimir Klitschko not Haye not Chagaev but Klitschko.The Klitschko brothers are two of the biggest sport stars in Germany and this is no secret and saying that Chagaev is actually a bigger attraction in german than Haye is so such a replacement was viewed as even better in germany

First I've heard of any injury. It's unfortunate Wlad is spending his prime fighting once a year. The good old days of the heavyweight champ fighting 3+ times a year is long gone. Boxing politics are ridiculous. Were gona lose our sport if something doesn't change fast. MMA is starting to clown us now and that's pathetic.

I would actually like to see this fight! I think Chambers improved since their first fight, and now he actually can beat Povetkin.
