I like Paulie and respect what he says a lot of times, hes one of the few straight shooters IMO. He has never been in the ring with Pacquaio so its hard to say that off his matchup with Cotto, he can say Miguel will knock out Pacquaio. With that said, he is right, Miguel will KO Pac.

Well, some people still believe the old adage 'the bigger the better'...haven't Malignaggi ever heard of the story of David and Goliath ?

        Malignaggi who?

If Cotto wasn't able to knocked-out an ordinary average boxer with no KO and toughness at all like MALIGNAGGI, how can he KO and beat a guaranteed tough pugilist like Pacquiao? Malignaggi's statement was more of 'I am better and tougher than Pacquiao that's why Cotto will KO him up..' Oh really? You're the only boxer I saw who when hit by just a light jab from any of his opponents swayed and almost got KOed....have you seen a tall chinese bamboo sways during a strong wind? That's how Paulie is every time he got hit, but not from a strong wind but just a light jab. Malignaggi is not a boxer he is a comedian. There's no way that Cotto can KO and beat Pacquiao at this time.

you wanna talk about judging by how a fighter looks? i watched a dude named gatti who's face would look like hamburger meat after a WIN...chico looked like he got faceplanted 100 times after his win against castillo...jimmy garcia had little to no lumps on his face after fighting gabe ruelas...he died a day later...post-fight pics aren't really a good barometer on who was doing the most damage
I was just making a point by saying that even if a ref stops a fight doesn't mean that he was more damaged or beating in that fight than others. That relyies on the different ref's judgement and you just proven my point.

Fighters like Gatti and others face looked awful in most of his fights but not all of theme were stopped by the referee. Does that mean they were not damaged??

If you want to continue to beleive that Hatton did more damage to Paulie than Cotto because Cotto's fight was not stopped, go ahead, you are entitled to that, but that's not reality.

A ref has different options to stop a fight whether it's because of a cut, dangerous beating or just to the fact that he doesn't give a fighter a chance to win the fight because he is not active enough, this will not mean that it was his most painful or physically damged fight.

            Peace

lol, well theres a lot of posters on here with opinions, including you, but id think paulies opinion is a lot more valid than yours or anybody elses in here seen as tho he has been in the ring with cotto! hes also been in the ring with hatton, who pac just slaughtered, so id say paulie will have a more valuable opinion about a pac v cotto fight than you!

Best post on this thread....same thing I was thinking..... If it had been a boxing trainer or a broadcaster NOBODY would care that he picked Cotto to beat Pac....But since its Paulie all these pansies get their panties in a bunch
