Roy Jones Jr feels he is better than Manny Pacquiao and Bernard Hopkins

I BARELY thought he would even beat Lacy... I had an entire thread based on Roy-Joe and at the end of the thread I, in bold, stated Joe should win this fifhgt.
I am a fan, but I am still realistic about his capabilities.
I would say Bernard has a better chance of beating Dawson or Adamek than Roy does at this stage.
There is no need to throw comments at me like that.Comment

Roy Jones Jr feels he is better than Manny Pacquiao and Bernard Hopkins

Fresh off his victory over Jeff Lacy, Roy Jones Jr. is convinced he is back on top. In fact Jones Jr. feels he is the pound for pound best in the sport and not Manny Pacquiao.
In a statement sent to us here at Doghouse Boxing, Jones Jr stated that on Saturday night he proved he had the best hook in the industry. “I showed on Saturday night against Jeff Lacy that I have the best hook in the business,” stated Jones, adding: “And I am the only one that can throw either one of those hooks 5 or 6 at a time."
In regards to the Pound for Pound best title, Jones Jr. feels that people have it all wrong. “As far as the pound-for-pound best goes, they’ve got it all messed up. It’s not supposed to be a fashion show, but it has turned into that." Jones went on to say that the P4P title is about being the best boxer, effective speed, as well as combinations and power.
In regards to fighters such as Pacquiao and Hopkins as P4P fighters, Jones Jr. stated: “Manny Pacquiao is at the top of the list and is a great fighter, but even he has not displayed a better hook. Bernard Hopkins can’t throw three or four hooks at one time and he is not as entertaining to watch than I am right now."Comment

Actually, if you read alot of my posts regarding Roy you would find Im the most realistic Roy fan around here.

I'm just pulling your chain. I've read plenty of your posts and we've even debated directly on the topic of RJJ's greatness. You are pretty even handed. You are, however, somewhat of a troll when it comes to RJJ posts though. That's why I mentioned you by name. I don't know if you recall, but I once posted a comment about Roy in a thread that you hadn't posted in just to see how long it would take you to respond. You love the guy, and your just about his best advocate on these boards. As we've said before, we respectfully disagree. Take it easy.
haha, ok fair enough.... you too.Comment
