Dawson-Johnson II winner.
Who should Hopkins fight?

I'd love to see Roy vs. Bernard 2. Even though I think Roy is shot (in spite of his impressive victory over a shot Jeff) the rematch is appealing to me. Unfortunately, these two both have enormous egos and will never agree on terms.
If that doesn't happen, let's see him fight Ademek for a title at a weight class in which he has yet to claim a title.
Hopkins vs. Dawson sounds interesting on paper but I think it would probably end up being a dull fight with Dawson winning on points.
I also wouldn't be upset if Hopkins decides to retire. He's got nothing left to prove.
People will cringe at this but I'd like to see him rematch Calzaghe. I know it was an ugly fight but I can't help but wonder if ole Popkins could fare better a second time around. Joe has no interest in a rematch with Pops (which I can't really blame him for) so that will never happen.Comment

He tries to make it sound like the money is with fighting adamek or dawson. but sad truth is, there is wayyyyyyyyyyy more jones fans than dawson and adamek fans put together..
jones jr vs hopkins sells way more pay per views thans hopkins fighting dawson and adamek combined.Comment

Any of the three is fine by me. This would be how I prioritise them though:
1) Adamek.
Another title in another weight division plus a very good boxer with a great recent record, and at the same time a pretty favourable match-up. The fight would be low intensity(-ish) and Adamek definitely wouldn't outbox B-Hop - assuming he hasn't massively deteriorated since the Calzaghe/Pavlik fights. Smart and credible fight, he'd have his cake and eat it too.
2) Jones Jnr.
Great historic significance even considering the geriatric state of both men. Easily the biggest marquee name available and should - should - be a relatively comfy win for Hopkins. It'd look great on his resume in the future to see his only decisive loss be avenged. Not to mention the personal importance of the fight for Bernard (and Jones Jnr for that matter).
3) Dawson.
Young. Skilled. Same weight division as Bernard. 'Nuff said. Reasons I rank this only 3rd;
- Hopkins already recently scalped a percieved peaking champion in Kelly Pavlik
- Dawson could be retrospectively written off as green or his career could trail off after suffering defeat at the hands of The Executioner, thus damaging the integrity of the 'W' which, in my opinion, would be the toughest to acquire of three. TL;DR: less balanced risk:reward ratioLast edited by S.G.; 08-21-2009, 07:21 PM.Comment

Adamek. That fight is for a third lineal title, along with an alphabet belt. Roy Jones wouldn't be a fair fight at this time, and people have fell for the smoke and mirrors illusion, last time this happened I thought Calzaghe brought people back to their senses.Comment

Fact is Hopkins can make millions fighting either Adamek or Dawson. Tell me one fight where Jones can make that type of money other than fighting Hopkins? Hopkins has options, Jones does not, unless you want to count a fight against green for 1 mil or less as a money fight. He tries to make it sound like the money is with fighting adamek or dawson. but sad truth is, there is wayyyyyyyyyyy more jones fans than dawson and adamek fans put together..

I'd actually like to see a rematch between him and Johnson. Glen is much better as a LHW than he was as a MW. I'd like to see Glen get his revenge.Comment
