Yeah. Couldn't kill his heart, though.

Momentarily impressive as it was to see Roy throwing 9 left hooks in a hot second like the old days and ****, the only real commendable thing about last Saturday night's fight was the heart of Jeff Lacy.

He broke his confidence, Jeff Lacy would have rather got knocked out than that. I think that with a psychologist and a good positive mental attitude he could have come back. Look at Roy, he gets KTFO a hundred times and he keeps a big smile on his face and fights at the best of his current abilities. He still shows some glimpses of his past greatness. Jeff Lacy is a shadow of his former self but still was overrated in the past. Jermaine Taylor and RJJ are good fighters too. So we can only justify his last performances by Joe Calzaghe taking away his confidence.

You're referring to the USA and the way they've overrated Pavlik, Toney, Hopkins, Lacy, etc?

Well Calzage certainly didn't take Roy Jones or Hopkins soul so this idea of him being a career destroyer is overstated.

Others like Mitchell and Sheika were never the same after fighting Joe.
