I don't know, since I never seen Michalczewski fight and I don't know his style, but if he had a rock solid chin and could swarm relentlessly, he could beat Roy....but that's a big big IF..

Dont put any stock into DM's fights with Gonzales or Tiozzo he was already well past it when both fights happened.

That being said I dont think he could have beat Jones, but he would have had a better chance than any of the guy's Jones did fight thats for sure.

Roy Jones himself was already on the downside by the time he fought Tarver so I dont use that fight to judge Jones.

Roy and DM should have fought in 98 or 99 when they were both at there best.

You can't really judge DM on any of his fights in the last one and a half years or even more. He go sme favorable hometown influence in his fight vs Harmon or Hall or both before he fought Gonzalez (in my memory serves correctly).

You can't judge Roy by his fights after Ruiz...not the same man at all. Roy vs DM in 2001 or earlier is a worthwhile fight, but not now.

Obviously prime a prime DM would have destroyed the Jones of Tarver I and II and Johnson fights just like a prime Jones would destroy the current version of DM. They really should have fought back in 97-99.
