Corley showed alot of guts in that fight last night and he really impressed me. We haven't heard the last of this guy, I'm shocked that he was able to hurt Cotto despite being outweiged by 17lbs. Even if Cotto didn't see the shot.

Corley got ****ed over royally last night with that stoppage but it was only a matter of time. He should have at least been given the dignity of finishing the fight.

Yeah, but the point is, unlike Corley, there are some guys in the division who won't give him that opportunity after hurting...and no matter what you say, every good fighter performs better in a rematch after seeing what they have to do to win, but the great fighters perform well the first time around..

I disagree. I thought he loss the second and third round and got a BS knockdown in round 1. I had it scored like this going into the 5th

            Cotto 10 Chop 8
            Cotto 8 Chop 10
            Cotto 8 Chop 10
            Cotto 10 Chop 9

Cotto 36 Chop 37 but really I had it Cotto 36 Chop 38 because it really wasnt a knock down in the first.

Now I dont think Chop was finished like everyone else does. I think if the ref wouldnt had stopped it he wouldve made it to the end of the round. Couple that with two 10 counts that means he wouldve went without getting hit for like 2 or 2 and a half minutes. He wouldve recovered and it only wouldve took one punch to get him back in it and he was landing very easy.

Lederman and probally you gave the second to Cotto but there is no way he won that. That was win Chop started landing those big over hand rights and left uppercuts. He dominated the last minute and a half of the round. Cotto didnt even land that much after the first minute

when a fighter is outclasses, it's a one sided beating. corley was doing more than holding his ground, he hurt teh bigger fighter. Steward said it best, "Corely can hit him with 5 shots but one punch from Cotto will hurt him."

When you're weighing 17 pounds more than you're opponent and just over powering him, yeah you can give the impression that you're outclassing him Just watch the fight again amd come back to me with this outclassed bull****.

He already saw it but I think I saw him make another thread about why isnt anyone talking about the fight and how he cant see one thread on it. I see alot of threads on it. Maybe he means directly about it because alot of the threads are just about Cotto or Cotto vs someone else or the ref and so on

Honestly I was keeping score and it looked like a very very close fight. I just stop scoring it after I got confused with the ref taking away points. I DIDN'T KNOW WHO HE WAS TAKING AWAY POINTS FROM!!

The reason why people are being so hard on him is because he was being compared to the greats without beating anyone. All the great fighters have or could be hurt but those guys are all proven and Cotto isnt. This was his first big fight and it was against a guy who all of you said was a bum and that Cotto would kill and he was 20 pounds bigger. That just kind of makes people think that he was all hype. If Chop was 157 would it be different? If Cotto fought the other top guys at 140 would it be different? If Cotto moved to 147 like he soon has to will he be just a average fighter?
