Be honest: did you find Delahoya-Pacquiao 24/7 interesting? If so, what parts?
Dude, they can do magic on television, 24/7 is not a talk show and I would hate it if HBO will put more emphasis on Pacquiao and Cotto's interviews. As a boxing fan, I would rather watch both boxers in training mode and let the sport journalist and trainers to do the talking.

IMHO, I enjoyed all the episodes of the dela hoya/pacquiao 24/7.

When Arum co-promoted Pacquiao's May 2 victory against Ricky Hatton, the pay-per-view fight was shopped to Showtime before Arum and Golden Boy settled on HBO. In the case of Cotto-Pacquiao, which Arum would control by himself, he said HBO PPV has dibs based on the deal he made with the network to carry Cotto-Clottey.

Arum said part of the discussion with HBO was the production of a "24/7" series for Cotto-Pacquiao. "That would be part of our deal," Arum said.

We've all known for the past month or so that Miguel Cotto and Manny Pacquiao were headed for a fight, but I still got a rush when the expected news was confirmed. I was awfully happy to talk to Top Rank's Bob Arum the other day and hear the fight was on. Based on the early comments I've heard from people around the boxing industry, a few things are clear: First, it's a huge fight, probably the biggest boxing pay-per-view of 2009. Second, there isn't anyone I can find who doesn't think it's going to be a sensational fight, whoever wins. Third, there is a big split on who people think will win, which should add to the intensity of the promotion (which will be called "Firepower"). I'm also excited because HBO is planning a "24/7" series to follow the buildup to the fight. When you match two of the best fighters in the world, both of whom have huge fan bases and make action-packed fights, everybody wins. This fight is great for boxing.

I'd like to see Miguel's entourage:

        eyebrow trimmer
        jaguar window repair guy
        ******* transportation liaison

Think about the way he acted in the opening pressers with Oscar and Ricky, and how he acted in the JMM presser.
Agreed. I wish he'd revert back to the old Mayweather. But honestly, I think he's waiting for the Pacquaio fight to let loose the old Mayweather. A guy can't be the bad guy EVERY TIME. In part I think he gives Marquez some amount of respect because Marquez obviously respects Floyd.

Keep in mind that neither one of these guys is exactly what you would consider 'skilled' in the English language. Nor are they charismatic. So, you will have four episodes of subtitles. With Cotto saying the same boring drivel over and over: "he is a good fighter. I am prepared. I trained hard".

Meanwhile, Pacquiao will be praying in an empty church. If you notice, they try to make the Pac 24/7 episodes about his entourage: buboy, roach, moorer, etc.

              ZZZZZzzzzzzzzz
who cares? it'll sell a lot more than floyd/marquez anyway

btw, floyd can't spell 2 sentences in a row correctly. what do you call THAT??

                P-P,

                You're missing the point.

24/7 is not for you. You are not the target audience. You will be buying the fight whether they had a 24/7, a Countdown or nothing at all. You are a passionate, dedicated boxing fan. And apparently, a huge Pac fan.

The 24/7 series is targeted towards the casual or mainstream fan. those are the guys who move the PPV needle.

Please remember , guys: we are not the "typical" boxing fan. We are hardcore fans who spend hours in a boxing forum.
