Very hard to pick a fighter who has yet to beat anybody of significance. The couple of guys he beat who had good records, at least as the numbers go, got them fighting nobody but bums and journeymen. Even Ward has a much more impressive resume. You can never be sure with any undefeated fighter, of course, but I think he'll have a tough enough job with Froch (who I suspect will over-power him for a mid/late KO), let alone beating the likes of Abraham and Kessler to actually win the tourney. Dirrell has done nothing yet to suggest he might even be in the same class as those guys; he's a good prospect, no more.

Ask again if he wins the Froch fight!

The thing is that I like Dirrell's speed, for me, he's the fastest fighter in the whole tourney, but I don't like the way he reacts to pressure. I pick him to beat Froch because I'm sure he won't gas out.
Nah, Dirrell is an underdog and rightfully so, he hasn't proven nearly as much as guys like Froch and Kessler but I'd put a little money on him if the odds are good.

The thing that could and probably will get him into trouble is his defense, or lack of it, he pulls straight back from punches with his arms down and keeps his hands low most of time, he lunges in as well. All these things will be exploited by the guys he will fight because they are much better fighters than the guys Dirrell has faced so far.

Still, he's a pretty live underdog in this tourney.
