Does Freddy Roach is think Cotto is damaged goods???

He absolutely thinks Cotto is on the downside of his prime. I think he is right too. Cotto didn't beat Clottey, Clottey quit fighting and gave Cotto a gift win. A cheating Margo took it out of Cotto IMO. Here is my fear of how the P4P may pan out......

First, I think Andre Berto is massively over rated. With that said if he gets a chance with Mosely and SSM happens to get old before the fight and Berto beats a shadow of the real SSM people will claim that Berto belongs with the Pac's and Mayweather's. The truth will be if SSM was still prime he would have demolished Berto. I hope the prime SSM shows up when this fight happens so this scenario never happens. Second, SSM as long as he is not on the downside of his career, would be the one fighter today that I think has the match up advantages to beat Pacquiao.

Don't know if this made any sense in print but hopefully you all get what I am trying to say.

Cotto beat Mosley! So now only Mosley can beat Pac? Doesn't make sense. Cotto CAN beat Pac...he just needs to fight smart.

Yah, roach has somethin up his sleeve. hes a crafty trainer, you better believe he knows something hes hoping cotto doesnt. I really dont think cotto should have taken this fight. Hes coming out of brutal fights. Not to mention a loss to a guy that battered his face using plaster. Pacs comin in movin out dancing like a ballerina and ****in stinging like a bee.

I think Roach respects Cotto a lot more than his other past fights... + i think DLH and Roach had some beef anyways.

berto is sooo overrated. the dude is just an athletic machine. he clearly lost to collazo. and collazo is a B fighter at his best.

I think its just a matter of the high level of competitiveness of Cottos fights. He always fights the best so just because he doesent dominate, hes damaged goods?

I don't care who beat who....it's about the match ups man. My point was a prime SSM matches up quite favorably with Pac. Cotto does not IMO. First of all I believe Cotto is damaged goods and the Clottey fight proved that. Second of all Cotto has a paper mache face and with Pac's ridiculous punching angles will be sliced up by mid fight thus causing a stoppage between 8-10.

Good post! **** Cotto surely did a great job competing against Mosley, and he did well against Marg and Clottey who are two giant beasts.
