I like Marquez quite a bit but, often, I find myself just rooting for which win would mean more for the sport. I don't always try and emotionally invest myself in the outcome to the point where I'm really, truly, rooting for one guy. I'm not saying it never happens but, in Marquez-Mayweather, I just want to see a good fight.

That said, I don't think nice guy Marquez, who speaks Spanish, can really fire up boxing fans the way Mayweather will. I mean, Floyd speaking English as his first language does matter when it comes to interviews and such in places like the US, Canada, the UK - and it's all about marketability. I want the spokesmen for the sport, good or bad, back in action and selling tickets. It's just healthy.

i have to some extent agree with a man with a cool tree in his avi. boxing needs to stay big in america and floyd is the one who has the pull there. however it would be fun to see his smug face thrown around the ring no?
