WHY would a boxer let himself GET OUT OF SHAPE in time off????

Like really they know how hard it is to make weight. All the dieting and stuff they have to go through. Always feling hungry.

SO knowing what they know WHY O WHY would they let themselves drift a long way away from fighthing weight???????? I mean its a small price to pay to eat healthy in off season not to have to go through all that pain when its time to trim down. Also i mean they just doing their jobs and not like they have to eat healty all their lives just wait till retirement!!!!!

Majority of boxers do it. Very few in last i duno 15 years stay fight weight. Top of my head probably mayweather, jones, hopkins, tyson.

When you earn a multi-millions in one night, you more than likley are going to enjoy the money rather than stay in the gym and train everyday during your time off.

Most normal people would do this.

And as soon as you stop exercising for a very short while, you usually put alot of weight on very very quickly if you have been training none stop for a months.

Yea so what im saying is thye should keep fit. Eat a bit more healthy.

I'm not sayign they shuold box just keep fit some other way. Also its not pure luck that all the GOAT boxers kept fit even in time off!!!!!!!

Take hatton for example NO WAY A NORAML PERSON should eat and drink like hatton. And him being a top level athlete thats just plain ******!!!

Because that is not a natural weight for them to be at, or even a healthy weight. Oscar DeLahoya walking around all the time at 147 would be insane for him. He's older, he's a tall WW and there's no way a guy like him could have that % of body fat all the time.

Something people need to understand is, these guys cut serious weight to have an advantage at that weight, not disadvantage. There are very few boxers that walk around at the same weight that they fight in....

Them having to make weight and starving themselves is part of the reason why they eat what they can when they're not training, they aren't able to enjoy any types of foods and drink while training for a fight, almost anybody would do what most boxers do in between fights if put in the same circumstances.

If you'd train for a month while being starved you'd have wet dreams of McDonald's too.
