I predicted Corley winning because of the styles, it's the classic brutal left uppercut (corley) against a guy who comes in leaning forward often..imo if the fight hadnt been stopped, corely would have won

he may have stuck corley a few times, but corely was never out on his feet like cotto was...cotto was close to the sandman

and then corely got a low blow in so I was expecting maybe a ko, you can say cotto 'took the punches' but he 'wobbled' while corely didn't.

It was definately a good fight though, very entertaining, that particular style clash meant lots of punching and boxing, and getting hit, would be a shame not to see a trilogy of those 2

I will say, that it was a moral victory for you to pick Corley.

      that is for sure.

I NEVER would have predicted that he was so competitive.

I thought it was going to end in the 1st or 2nd round.

i would have never picked corely if he had a suspect chin. only reason i chose him is because he had never been stopped and that left uppercut, didn't really even know much about him

          one thing is for sure.

you know nothing about geography or racial tolerance.

Had it went the distance and the judges had to make the call they probably would have found some way to give the fight to Miguel..

Well Will, I am definately glad to see that some of his bandwagon actually be honest about it. I was expecting to hear a bunch of 'He wasn't wobbled" bull****, considering how much hype he had goin.

                  lol

Man yall need to stop hating on Corley. It is ok to give both fighters credit you know. Or did you know that?

Corley fought a strong, determined fight, especially for a guy that was outweighed by 17 lbs. p4p I think Corley is a better fighter, and it showed.

Corley should have no credit taken away because he took a knee, get the **** outta here with that. Fighters take knees all the time. Sometimes it's the smart thing to do.

Don't start this bull****. YES it was a premature stoppage, YES the ref should have given Chop the benifit of a count, BUT the ref had to make a quick decision and based on the fact that Chop went down on his own to avoid further punishment that really looks very much like he wanted a way out of the fight to me, which he got!

Saying that because the ref didn't stop the fight when Cotto was rocked shows biased is absolute HORSE****, if you think that then you are watching the wrong sport. When a fighter takes a big punch and gets wobbled(as Cotto clearly was) the fighter has two choices, 1)try and grab the opponent and stay in there long enough to regain his senses. or 2)go down and give the impression that they want out. Tonight we saw both responses from 1 fight.

Bottom line is that while Cotto didn't look very good tonight, which imo is due largely to him having such a hard time making the 140lb weight limit, I thought he looked really bad in the weigh in pics. Yet he still ,managed to not only get the job done but did so in a fashion that neither Floyd Mayweather jr, or Zab Judah could, TKO rd 5.

DLT I sure hope you and Slipx both got my PM's, cause I definately sent the responses in plenty of time before the fight started, so I really hope you both honor your bets!
