    Pacquiao Cotto ticket value?

Just curious, this being the biggest fight of the year, how much do you guys think the tickets will be worth come fightnight. I plan on going to the fight, and picking up 2 $1000 seats Sec L4 as an investment. My thinking is that this fight is so big that I can swing a nice profit. The fight will sell out within a couple hours and we're three months away. MGM basically sold out and we're 3 months way. Any way I wont make a profit here?

    Please guys no flaming

I think on read on another thread that the $1,000 tickets could be sold by ticket liquidators at $22,000. I don't know if it's true, but you'll make profit regardless.

Im glad you guys are on the same page as me. Now as far as the buying/selling do you foresee any problems with this being will call only & me having to meet the buyer at the venue most likely? Will people commit to spending that much on ebay/paypal and have to wait until the day of or before the fight to pickup the tickets? Any other recommended ways of going about this? Craigslist las vegas maybe...

You will most likely end up eating quite a bit of what you paid for these tickets.

First of all I don't know about anyone else, but I would not pay for tickets I don't know for sure the seller will come up with THE DAY OF THE FIGHT.

Second, Anyone that waits to buy tickets until the day of the fight is looking for a DEAL which means you're not going to get 1K per ticket like you paid for them. Judging by this web site alone, anyone here that's mentioned in the past that they get their tickets the day of the fight REFUSE to pay above face value or even face value for them.

Third, The brokers get hard copies of tickets through Top Rank a month before the fight which means they've got you beat as far as being able to offer tickets just as good as yours and being able to deliver a pair of HARD TICKETS to a buyer, where you have to hope someone will be willing to take the chance of meeting you at will call literally hours before the fight to get tickets that they are going to pay more than 1k per seat for.

Not saying 100% you won't be able to sell your tickets and make a profit, but it's highly unlikely. People don't pay full price or more the day of the fight anymore. Last minute buyers are looking for a deal, they are looking for below cost.

                Good luck.

                  My first post...

I have been reading these boards for months now, looks like pac vs cotto will be a hot item. After seeing this thread, i also purchased 2 tickets hoping to sell it for a profit.

I did not know about ticketmasters "will call" thing though.

I called them up and they said i could pick up the tickets as early as Monday Nov 9, the week of the fight.

So that should give me and sandyvahra enough time to find a buyer and make a nice profit.

I am from california though so its a liitle more of an invesment for me since im also paying for plane tickets and hotel. I hope to at least get my money back for all these and ill be happy with the fun in vegas.

                  That will be my profit.

Hopefully the prices for these babies skyrocket.

It is a terrible investment point blank, on Oscar-Pacquaio ticket brokers took a bath and lost a fortune it is far from a sure thing that you will make a ton of money back and the most you can make imo is not worth the risk of loss.
