Toney's performance against Barkley is one of the best Boxing Clinics I've ever seen. It's on the same level of BHop-Trinidad, Floyd-Corrales, IMO.

Yeah, and Eubank and Watson managed to, so what's your point? Toney was a seriously good puncher at the lower weights, and he would be too accurate for Benn, slowly breaking him down before knocking him out.
Re the McLellan fight - we don't know how diminished Gerald was coming into that fight. And even then, he hurt Benn multiple times.Comment

That's right. Don't forget it took Benn only ONE round to stop Barkley, not 9 as it did to Toney!Comment

well he did cheat and should have been dq'd if the rules were the same for everyone. he's lucky barkely is such a tough guy and not a faking clown like griffin or lorenzo.Comment

To be fair, Eubank wasn't on Toney's level. Chris was a tough-willed, iron chinned bastard but he wasn't a supreme technician like Toney.Comment

anyone ever seen Benn-Watson? yea, I think it would be like that, except Toney would be more successful.
although it only lasted a round, the Benn-Barkley fight was pretty competitive. Barkley shook him with a counter left hook too, and would have been fine to continue if there was no 3 knockdown rule.
man, if there was no 3 knockdown rule, that would have been the brawl to end all brawls, Benn-Barkley.Comment
This guy on the left would kick Toney's hide btw.
