Joe moved up from 168 two years ago. No way he even makes it anymore. Only Froch and Kessler are really proven elite at 168 anyway.

But i like Kessler and think hes got this tourny in the bag !
Only his fans makes excuses (explanations)

The injury story is legit. It has been reported here on boxingscene as well as other sources. The right hand was surgically repaired after the fight. Kessler hurt his hand in training 3 weeks before the fight so he missed out on the most important sparring.

Before the fight Kessler said there was no problem. He had 5 million reasons to say exactly that.

the only guy who would give calzaghe a problem there is kess, even then calz's previous win over him would give him the edge.

froch is tailor made for calzaghe, JT would be spent after 8 rnds with the pace calz sets, AA would be outworked and outmanourvered and the two andre's are a little too green.

calzaghe imo would go through them 6-0.

i agree with bat here, kess did say that it shouldn't affect him but wouldn't any other ighter say the same thing? the last thing you do is admit a weakness in the build up to a fight (i.e. mayweather is obviously trying to avoid questions about his rib 'injury')

kess's lack of sparring told, sparring helps with timing and accuracy and kess's timing and accuracy was missing in that fight, he was fine when joe was coming onto him but when would joe hit and move the timing of kess's punches wasn't there.

i still maintain though that prime joe beats prime kess.

I'll take that bet. AA won't win. Let's make the bet bigger.
