Whether you love or hate DeLahoya and Hatton, they were fighters that were good for boxing and had a mass following of loyal fans that will be talked about a decade from now. No fighter of their status should quit the game the way they did.

I'm not saying everyone can leave the sport the way Joe Calzaghe did but at least go out with a **** and I don't mean getting stopped or knocked out either. For their legacy's sake this is not the way star fighters should leave the sport. I agree they both should retire but not like this.
chill out dude, those super stars your refering to, where just money making machines, that were able to attract and con their people into believing they were true boxing warriors, when in fact they both where two of the biggest frauds in the history of the game!!!

I agree. Whitter would be a decent fight that he might be able to win. He saves face somewhat and leaves on a high note. As far as watching the video, I think he is having trouble accepting the brutal nature of the quick and decisive knockout.

I can see not watching for a month, but it's been three months. If he ever fights again, this KO will always be in the back of his mind.

You guys are kicking the man while he's down, goes to show what type of people you all are.

Try boxing for 2 rounds win or lose, and earn 13 Million dollars, then you can make fun of him.

If Pacquiao demolishes Cotto in similar fashion or worse, as much as i dislike Cotto(the boxer), I would leave him alone. It's bad enough that he loses, i would be satisfied. But some people just want more and more and more.

If you don't like Ricky then aren't you satisfied that he already lost in an embarrassing way? the man's feelings are crushed and his confident is low, and his career is apparently in doubt according to him.

I actually found myself defending Cotto after the Margarito loss, after i wanted him to lose so badly. There's a limit to "hating". You guys are showing a little bit too much hatred towards Hatton, like if he ****d your mothers or something.

He's watched the fight. He just doesn't want the media asking him what he thought of his performance, what should he have done different, etc...

so what he got knocked out twice by the supposed 2 best boxers on the planet, at least he had the balls to say *** it ill fight em and did it, not like some who only pick fighters a few divisions below them or duck the best fighters or say ill fight then **** there pants and hide. Hatton might be overrated by some but hes archived a lot won titles made his money beaten top fighters and to many proved a point, but theres always going to be haters on here talking **** because he didnt call out Wlad or someone 5stone bigger or hasnt won 20 titles in 7 divisions in under a year or just because he got knocked out or took some big shots. He has achived more than most fighters ever will and more than anyone on here ever has.

Hatton = overrated ...... possibly yes but who gives a flying *** he has been great for boxing as a whole, hes has helped raise the status of boxing in a time many believe its dying, and has provided most fight fans with a lot of entertainment and if im not mistaken 1000s of fans follow his across the world when he fights now think about this when you have a fight how many of your fans follow you, how many world titles have you won, do you have millions in your bank, have you ever knocked out someone in the top 10 p4p rankings, im going to stick my neck out here and say no have you ***!!!!

I'm sure Ricky Hatton will be back!!!

He could still compete with some of the top ranked fighters in his division....

He should forget about his KO loss.....never mind even watching the tapes........he should go back up the ring and give the same KO to others...

I like to see him go up against Bradley or Valero or even Marquez....
