These belts are a JOKE. Recess,Interm,Real,Diamond Champion. It is getting ridiculous. That meeting the 30 or so promoters had should all agree on a voting panel. Say AP writers that cover Boxing from all parts of the world should be the voting panel. Say 50 writers vote every month for the champion of each division just like College football does. That is what this meeting of the minds should come up with. A recognized LEGIT ranking system.

If you follow history Dawson was the one who got stripped for not fighting Diaconu. Diaconu was an undeserving mandatory though and Dawson would've dominated him just like Pascal did. I mentioned that Suliman was acting all nice-nice with Dawson in the lead up to this Johnson fight and expressing gratitude that Dawson at one time held his belt. I wonder how much of a factor he was in that shady decision that Dawson got over Johnson and how much influence he will have on the decision in the rematch unless the fight ends in another fashion.

I don't think Diaconu was underserving since he won a title eliminator and the fight would have been for the WBC title not the lineal title and Dawson wasn't such a big name then.
But I agree Dawson would have beat him.
To me if you win a title eliminator you are eligible for a title shot.

If Dawson would've scheduled another fight with him, he would've taken another chance of the fight getting canceled again and getting cheated out of money. I view Cloud as a threat to Dawson though, but he is undeserving of a shot too, because he has been so inactive. If he destroys Woods impressively, which I think he will do then he should get a shot at a big name.

I'm saying Diaconu's title shot was due since he won a title shot against Hoye.He eventually got it against Henry.
Same thing with Cloud,he beat Gonzales in a eliminator and now getting a title shot.Doesn't matter if the title isvacant or not.

Well if Pascal is signed to fight his MANDATORY then there should be absolutely no reason for an interim belt.
