Pavlik didn't even look that bad in the post fight interview with Merchant. My goodness. And that bad bruise on the side of his face was all started by that nice left hook that Hopkins landed in the first round I believe. Lampley referred to it as a mouse. But I guess as time went by, it got a lot worse after the fight was over with. Dayyyyyyyyuuuum!!!!!!!!

True...but he threw 65 a round against JT...and 70 in the 2nd fight...awkward fighters, or guys with speed trouble Bernard not jus busy ones...

He started timing JT in the second half of the fight and began schooling him...

my bad, he did time him in the second half of the fight, but it was from a schooling, and b-hop probably started to time him because JT was getting tired.

but still doesn't that say something about b-hop? i mean it took 18rnds and imo a fading JT for him to start timing him and neutralizing the speed difference. do you think it would have taken PBF, toney or JMM that long to figure out JT?

b-hop might have some success against dawson late in the fight but on the whole i still see dawson by UD and no-one has persuaded me otherwise.

Dawson has faster hands and is younger and a better workrate(although he didn't do **** late against Tarver) but he's never faced a crafty sneaky veteran like Bernard who can take your best weapon away...

That's the thing. Dawson doesn't just have one single weapon, he is sound in all area's and is not one dimsensional. That is what throws Hopkins off.

Dawosn gets hit easily, does not have a high workrate, and has bad stamina. I think Hopkins UDs him. Ffs he lost to a 40 year old Johnson IMO. Tarver also gave him trouble in the rematch.

Sounds like you haven't seen him against Johnson, Harding, Ruiz or Adamek. He showed a good work rate and stamina in all of those fights( especially Johnson where he stood toe to toe the majority of the time).
