That struck me as well. So I went to the actual article and it seems that Cotto is kind of sticking to his original argument that he will not put his belt while the limit is 145 while conceding that if Pac wants to fight for a title he has no problem with this new Diamond Belt or whatever. The headline is a bit misleading since he is actually talking about his training and in passing answers a question about this new belt. He also states that he has lawyers that deal with all that and that if the sanctioning fees are modest he wouldnt mind paying them.
Personally, I agree with everyone that this is a joke title, but if it makes Pac happy I'm all for it. Either way, I'm confident that the WBO belt (vacant) will be on the line for Pac come fight night. He's just not taking it home with him.Comment

Co-sign. I mean, DLH could not pull the trigger and it was obvious that he couldnt do anything to Pac. He was roughed up big time but that is very different from actually getting hurt. In my mind that does not take anything away from Pac's victory over him.Comment
