Etienne threatened to withdraw from the fight just hours before it went down. There were all kinds of outside things going on, and he did get some extra money to go through with the fight.

The Black Rhino just mailed it in. He could have continued, but had no desire to after getting KD'd. I agree that spitting out his mouthpiece and closing his eyes and acting dead looked ridiculous, but there are a lot less punishing ways to throw a fight than to let Tyson hit you with a clean shot to the skull...

There is essentially nothing we can do about Tyson. If he were to die tommorow, nuthuggers would create threads about how good he was, how good he could have been, etc. God forbid the fact that he ever fought, and never fought anyone worth a damn. Those he did, he lost to. Mike Tyson is the most overrated fighter of all time. And Etienne did take a dive. Tyson hits hard, but not that hard.

I think he simply got caught...was not badly hurt...but figured he would stay down so he could collect his pay and not take anymore damage...
