    Super heavyweight division

I do think Manny Steward is into something with this idea. Wouldn't you like to see Eddie Chambers or Haye fighting eachother for the titles instead of having to fight the inhumanly big and strong Klitschkos?? I sure would. You've seen Chagaev against Wlad. He tried but he just couldn't do anything to put Wlad in trouble. It's just because he isn't big enough. There are so many "small heavyweights" that are very good but can't get to the top because of all the behemoths that have taken the titles, like one certain Russian for instance.

I like this idea because too many heavys come into to the ring overweight. Creating SHW division and having a heavyweight division from 200-215 or 220 would create some much needed buzz. I think it would also create more quality fights. Obviously the SHW division would still be #1, at least for a while, but I think the point is more good fights.

We have got enough weight classes as it is to be honest, don't want to be adding more and more...

But this is the only one that actually makes sense.

105, 108, 112, 115, 118, come on now. X out 2 of those and there's room. There were many great fights some time ago between 200 and 220 pounds, and now it's rarely ever seen.

You can't just make a weight class with champions for people to fight in and take it away to add a new one... that's unfair and ******... there is 17 weight classes now and that's enough as it is if anything it is too many, there used to be 8.

If they add a Super Heavyweight it is only gonna push them to make more and more, its gotta be prevented now.

Yeah. Lets not forget one of the all time greatest heavyweights was in that weight area. REAL DEAL!

Boxing needs to rethink its weight classes. Minimum to Lightweight is bordering on a joke. I'm not too sure about raising the Heavy limit though....

To me, and this is JMO... I feel there is probably a few too many at the moment as it is... so adding more is just gonna make it worst IMO, that's why I am against it, obviously were all different though.

Well the problem is there are too many at the lower end.

                  If it went:

                  105
                  112
                  118
                  126
                  135
                  147
                  160
                  175
                  190
                  215
                  215+

I'd very much like to see these weights... or something close to

The main problem I see is the low number of fighters in a super-heavyweight division. If you start it at 220 lbs, there will be a low number of fighters in the division, perhaps 40 pro fighters only. Do you think that's enough for an intersting division? I doubt it.

I can name only a hand full of fighter, who are regularly above 220 lbs for their bouts. Can you name many beyond the "usual suspects"?
