He was already in decline by the Byrd fight, he was a head case so sooner or later that was going to catch up with him no matter what.

Just watch Ike in the Tua fight then in the Byrd fight he looks totally different, his training was already falling off. He went as far as he could IMO, he had the physical tools to go farther but not the mental makeup to be truly great.

Now you can say what would happean if he was not a crazy mother ****er, but he would be a totally different fighter.
