Why do you think Floyd doesn't allow taping of sparring?

A lot of fighters don't allow it. Roy Jones didn't either in his prime. Which reminds me, I was watching footage of a prime Barrera sparring the other day. Un...****ing...real. I say this now - you may not believe me (and it sure didn't translate to being better in the ring) - but Barrera's pad work was as good, if not better than Floyd's. Absolutely amazing.

No, it was on a boxing dvd I have that shows a lot of people sparring in their primes - Barrera, Mosley (including his session against Genaro Hernandez), Jones, Oscar, etc. Some great sessions.

We've seen 39 of his fights...I don't know what he could be hiding from us...

Because Floyd tries to go in and exploit a fighter's weakness and strengths. Did anyone ever think that Floyd was going to be hugging Hatton all night long before he knocked him out? Was this done by design? I think so, it had to be. What if, footage of Floyd Hugging all night and trying his check hook over and over again during sparring was leaked, do you think Hatton's camp might have just tried a different strategy? They used Hatton's hugging reputation against him. Cortez was so convinced of Hatton being the hugger that when Floyd did it, Cortez was blamming and warning Hatton.

Team Mayweather always designs a script and if the script is out, it's just like an NFL team showing all of their plays. Team Mayweather is not your normal training camp. Floyd is not that good to begin with. Floyd needs secrecy in order to be good. Manny on the other hand will show his complete style, Floyd is just so afraid of losing and he knows that with out a good trickery in his play book, he can be beat.

to be fair.....hatton was watch pacquiao sparring and was coming up with a stragety to beat him.....the result?

I haven't watched the whole thing, just sorta skimmed through it after the Barrera session. Apparently there's some excellent sparring on the dvd, where both fighters have names. Gotta check it out but I was blown away by Barrera.

It's not an actual real DVD. I ordered some fights from a colleague who sells boxing dvds. They took forever to get to me so as a bonus he threw in an extra dvd with all of these training/sparring sessions on it.
