I agree that Quintana made himself irrelevant in the rematch. But

How many top 10 guys has Williams knocked out in the first round?

    second round?

    third round?

Because it looks like 0, 0 and 0 to me. So the first fight might indeed have been a fluke, but judging by Paul's history, the second was most certainly one.

If Mike Tyson or George Foreman knocked you out, you can be pretty sure it wasn't a fluke. And I'm not saying Williams isn't a very good fighter, at all. But just who has he knocked out, besides Quintana? Cuz he sure as hell hasn't knocked out anyone with a pulse in the first 3 rounds, before or since.

Well if you go by that logic, how many fighters on Williams level has Quintana ever beaten? What has he done since that win over Williams? Neither fight was a "fluke". The better prepared, better fighter, won in each fight individually.

If neither fight was a fluke, then why is a third fight so laughable? Because it sure looks like people are saying no one 160 pounds or below has a chance with him. Why not the guy who already beat him?

For Quintana's credit he did beat Joel Julio when he was undefeated and showed against Williams also that he can outbox an aggressive fighter that continually comes foward. Quintana has shown that he can deal with this style of boxing. In the second fight against Paul, Quintana was a little to aggressive and it worked against him. Not say that Carlos would beat Paul again, but he has the style to give him problems

That may be true but Quintana hasnt done a thing since he got KO'ed by Williams. It would be a different story if he was winning and making a name for himself!

It's laughable because Quintana has done absolutely nothing since. The only people who want a third fight with with Qunitana are people who are not satisfied with anybody Williams fights. Or People who can not get over that Williams won the rematch the way he did (fluke?).So to throw out the third fight with Quintana is just a desperate attempt to discredit Williams. Do you see any promoters trying to make that fight? A third fight with Quntana is laughable at this point if you compare it to Williams-Pavlik. And who said nobody had a chance with Williams at 160 and below? Nobody in this thread. What fight do you think networks would rather make, Williams-Quintana 3 or Williams-Pavlik? Please.

gotta like this guy, here is a guy that is serious about getting the fights he wants, and obviously he is a guy that isnt hiding behind his promoters!!!!! WHICH IS VERY RARE THESE DAYS!!!!!

i hope this guy is the goods because he certainly is conducting himself like a throwback fighter, and i like it.

Injuries and fighting a bum is not proving a case for him and I do agree that he should fight reconizable names and beat them if there is ever gonna be a 3rd fight with Paul. Paul best money fight is agains Pavlik at this time and it is a big risk he is taking. That is what top fighters do and if Paul wins the sky is the limit for him. The Sergei fight would have been good but this fight against Pavlik is a sure action fight
