Are you serious? It's the quintessential boxing war. Two of the greatest fighters ever going toe to toe at a relentless pace for 14 rounds in the Manila heat....And the ending was dramatic as hell, Frazier who literally couldnt see, wanting one more round but futch throwing the towel in, ali looking like he wanted to quit too...sensational

I think a very underrated fight is Danny-Vitali everyone forgets that after that fight Klit was never the same man and retired for several years. That's the price you pay when you fight the GOAT.

The only piece of brutal action was in the final rounds where ali was teeing off as Fraziers head.Martin Rogan has had two bouts that have been as exciting if not more than the thrilla in manila in the past five months alone.

I wouldn't rate this in my top ten heavyweight title bouts,That's for sure

So there was hardly any brutal action besides frazier getting tagged in the last few rounds....I'm pretty sure there was brutal action throughout the whole fight, I dont think a man as tough as Ali would be complaining of a near death experience if there wasn't sustained brutal punishment suffered by both men throughout the whole fight. Frazier's eyes were like tennis balls too, all swollen up and such

No honestly I bought the dvd and would watch it with friends sometimes. Then I realized it wasn't that great.

I guess everyone has their own opinion on that one, since most fans not only liked it but thought this fight would get FOTY wich it did.
