This is a bull**** thread. Logic would tell you he started using the plaster after his loss to paul williams. You know why? Because no one can take plaster shots to the face for 12 rds. How much do you hate cotto to say he has a weak chin because margarito more than likely cheated, made him quit, and possibly ruined his career because now the cuts he suffered during that fight opens up during his fights in the future.

That's irrelevant. Getting hurt during a fight; that's part of boxing.

So who has the weaker chin again?
to be fair clottey was off balance. it was a flash knockdown.

My point still stands. A knockdown is a knockdown my friend.

no it doesn't. clottey's chin had nothing to do with that flash knockdown.... he was off balance.

your point has been knocked down (pun intended).

Could it be that he started using plaster after lossing to Williams? Nah...

I don't understand how some people are so ******. Williams is like 6'3 with an 82 reach, he swarmed Margarito. Cotto is 5'7 1/2 with a 67" reach.

I agree with this. William's height helped him avoid some punches too.

but anyway he is in a fight against a former 106 lbs fighter and the odds are still against him

thats a shame, but he is in a lose lose situation, if he wins he beat a former flyweight big deal, if he loses he lost to a flyweight
Who cares what the fighter used to weigh. It's what they weigh now that counts. Cotto was 106lbs once upon a time as well.

Manny will always be a ***** for calling out the 147lb champion @ 145lbs.

It does stand, because you can't sit here and defend the fact that Clottey's chin is stronger than Cotto's but Cotto knocked him down. Clottey got knocked down.
