James Toney beat Ruiz more emphatically than Roy Jones.

My dad takes a steroid to keep from getting gout. And it's entirely possible Toney does the same. But for real, steroids can make you stronger and faster.

That fight against Holyfield does make me question whether Roy could've beat James at HW though. Though I think a younger Evander beats them both.
No problem man, I like a good debate as long as it is with a person who knows what they are talking about. And yes steroids can make you stronger, and faster, but ones meant to repair muscle damage usually make you lethargic but more powerful. Also wasn't Toney on the same muscle builders against Rahman the first time in a fight he looked like **** in?

Toney hasn't looked the same since the first Peter fight, which I thought he won. I see what you're saying, I'm just not sure how they can distinguish between steroids with a blood test.

Jones and Toney are two very different bodies against what is basically the same Ruiz in both fights and those differences required different strategies. Roy as most know was roughly 30lbs lighter than Ruiz and Toney may have weighed more than him in the actual fight.

No. Toney wasn't as fat as he is now as he was then.
