Yeah...in todays economy with HBO putting up all the money and no PPV revenue I do. That is more than HBO put up for Mosley-Margarito, so what does that tell you? Beating Paul Williams only gave Quintana a vicious concussion in the rematch and the abyss since.

The deal-breaker was not the license fee of $4 million dollars being offered by HBO. The deal-breaker was Mosley’s position of not backing away from a 50-50 split of money. According to Margarito’s co-manager, Sergio Diaz, Top Rank was on their side with respect to Margarito receiving a bigger portion of the purse. Diaz tells BoxingScene.com that a fight with Mosley can still be made, for the January date - if Mosley backs away from his position of receiving a 50% split.

Margarito, who stopped Miguel Cotto in a tremendous action fight to win the belt July 26, had been dissatisfied with his $2 million purse guarantee and that he'd be splitting the pot 50-50 with Mosley despite being the titleholder and a bigger attraction. Unhappy with the deal, Margarito turned down the fight last week after Mosley, Golden Boy, Top Rank and HBO thought they had a deal.

The deal originally worked out between Top Rank and Golden Boy will remain the same but HBO came up with additional money that will be paid directly to Top Rank and Margarito. The amount was not disclosed, but it was enough to satisfy Margarito.

you are talking for all Ricans?I think Paul Williams is a force to be dealt with but i think he is runing from Quintana after he beat him on the second fight(Quintana has asked for his rematch)Cotto immediately asked to rematch Margo but we all know what happened so bring facts instead of opinions if you are going to speak for all Ricans.

Puerto Ricans , are the only Latinos , that do not have to go thru immigration. because of the commonwealth status of the island , We are not "considered" (i know i am) latinos , at least they try to make us feel less i guess , than other latinos.

I dont know what it is. Why does everybody hate on us , is it cuz we represent our **** everywhere we go , is it cuz , all the succesful people that have come from such small island , is it cuz , we can compete in so many levels at so many things with so many races being so small. I dont know . I know it makes me feel better when i feel the hate and i havent done **** to them. I guess is something special.
