Come on people cant we just stick to boxing after all this is what this forum is all about.
I'm just tired of people going at each other not because of their boxing opinions, predictions and knowledge, but going at each other in offensive manner against their contries. Sorry Gopi if i quoted you on this because i do realize that you are responding to another ****** an you have the right to defend your self and countrymen but most of the ****** posts in this forum, if ignored they will end up stopping the nonsense.
This is actually a forum that i enjoy and have fun with while learning alot of boxing from everbody but if there is something i really hate is the word and action of racist and you can find this at the maximum expression in these forums. I realize that we dont live in a perfect word but sometime it just get ridiculous!!!!
And i'm not saying this because of Gopi, (just used his post as a example when he was defending from another post).
I'm Puerto Rican, and i'm saying this for all the Puerto Ricans, Pinos, Mexican, Black, White, Asian, European, Latin etc.... that post here in a racist form.
CANT WE JUST STICK TO BOXING!!!!!!
I know what exactly you're trying to convey, that's why I posted a very subdued and subtle response, I didn't even mentioned countries or anything so as not to fan the flames.
I hear you...Comment

Wait until you see the tickets and PPV sold on Sept. 19 and Nov. 14, and I won't hold it against you if you decide to change your mind and agree with me...Comment

let's not forget that the fans from both camp will enjoy this. Cotto and MP were professional and respectful to each other. MP got a loud cheer from Rican fans when he watched Cotto Clottey fight. Im sure Cotto will get the same treatment from pinoy fans as well so there is no need for hate remarks...Lets just enjoy this, this is good for the fans and good for boxing. Forget FMJ this is not about him...
However don't count out Maywether because whether you like the man or not if he fights the winner of Pacman-Cotto that fight will have a great potential to generate more revenue than Pacman-Cotto.
I sense PBF like the Yankees and the Bulls of the MJ era. People either watched them becuase they loved those teams or they watch them to witness when they lose. I'm not a PBF fan but i am a Yankee i was and MJ diehard fan and i know how it feels. That's one of the reasons that PBF sells so much.Comment

The purest boxing pundits loves the technical side of boxing, unfortunately, they are a dying breed which is nearing it's extinction. The casual fans are what the promoters been courting to sustain whatever momemtum boxing has gotten from the few great fights in recent years, and the best way to win them over is put up a thrill-a-minute, non-stop action, do-or-die fights, and the Pacman/Cotto fight fits this description. This is where we see the glitz and the glamor side of boxing. People from all walks of life, including sports, showbiz and political personalities rub elbows.
This fight is definitely IT...
We the boxing fans could probably enjoy every once in a while a pure technical boxing fight it is the bloody nonstop actiong of 2 boxers killing each other in the ring that sells and promotes more the sport now a days and that's what we will be getting when Pacman-Cotto face each other.Last edited by prsi; 08-13-2009, 05:56 AM.Comment

But even the 50-50 will be really tough to settle with by both boxers.
I do like your innovating plan of the 20% going to the winner. Don't know if it has been done ever but it will be a good time to start and a lot of future negotiations for other fight can go smoother.Comment
