If Boxing goes mainstream, best believe that it would be semi-live, and not as you said like football on ABC. Going mainstream means more advertisers, meaning more commercials in between rounds. Which means they would be delaying the telecast to accommodate more advertisers.
If you think its tedious watching few commercials, wait till the advertisers comes flooding through.
