to the people saying cottos resume aint nothing compared to titos n that cotto has never beaten a champion, well he hasn't beaten a champ but he has beaten a future hall of famer(mosley). which is something tito never even came close to doing and no he did not beat dlh. and atleast cotto didn't cheat his whole career by using illegal handwraps like tito tried to wear vs hopkins. maybe that's why he had so many kos. n atleast cotto hasn't been emberrased and had a fight where he lost all 12 rounds like the winky fight.

miguel cotto is probably one of the most proffesional fighters around today, he is never in a verbal war with any fighter or trainer during build up or after. to say he is a humble man would be an understaterment.
miguel cotto will be a modern great and a puerto rican icon.

im not a fan of his but i still think cotto is right. hes a pro boxer, he trains and fights, thats his job. in the ring and in the gym, not the streets. tito had that type of personality and enjoyed being in the centre of attention, cotto doesnt and ppl just need to accept that.

early in his career ppl all agreed comparing cotto to tito wasnt really fair cuz there were such big shoes to fill. now ppl seem to forget that, like he says himself. miguel cotto is miguel cotto, not tito trinidad. and i mean hes done a good job in the ring. whats better a guy who fights anyone and does his best like cotto, but likes to seclude himself in his private life. or someone whos scared to death of fighting anyone of note but is open to ppl (juanma).

Tito is loved by all puerto rican people,End of story.
He is the Icon that can not be replaced,the man of no fear and all pride.
A symbol of national hope and freedome.

No Puerto Rican fighter since Gomez has captured the fans like that and Gomez was one hell of a ****head but he held pride for his people.

Cotto is a lone wolf with a great resume for his time and does not disgrace the other Puerto Rican great fighters at all.

Cotto is not Tito trinidad and what no one understands is when he says this he means he is not going to imulate that persona because it is not him,he fights for himself.

cotto aint a spring chicken anymore, but what if:
cotto beat pac
cotto beat PBF
cotto avenge margarito loss
cotto repeat his victory over mosley
cotto clean the welterweight and beating undefeated belt holder?
goes to junior middle and grab a belt there?

would he still be ranked lower than tito?

All of that would definitely make him ranked higher than
Tito and possibly any other fighter in the sport of Boxing
BUT WE KNOW it will not happen. The only thing I see
Cotto doing on your list is beating Pac.
