They are not exactly Trinidad, DLH, Mosley, Whitaker of the previous generation so yeah.Comment

And who says they are, they are still really good fighters though.
But the fact remains that he's still a top level fighter in one of the best divisions in boxing. He also became the Number 1 WW when many considered the WW division to be the most challenging AND HE FOUGHT 1-5. What person that is overrated does that??
I'll wait.

Danny Perez was quite the underrated fighter and also avoided.Seriously I think dude is mad-overrated. I'm Mexican and I got the set because I was a fan of his. When it was all said and done he is grossly overrated. First he starts off losing 3 times early. Getting outboxed but then he fought guys like Danny Perez in Solo Boxeo type fights and fights like those struggling with Danny Perez. He then stepped up to fight Santos and was on his way to getting beat before a cut in the first. He then fought Antonio Diaz and had a very close fight with him (where in areas Mosley had annihilated Diaz by that time). He then went back to fighting Solo Boxeo type opponents even rematching Perez again and fighting stiffs. He then returned to PR to fight Santos again and was decisioned by a fat lazy Daniel Santos. Now here comes the part where his career started to take off. He took advantage of a really weak WW division fighting guys who where in the top ten like S. Lujan and Gomez. He then fought a the rated #2 Cintron according to The Ring and beat him senseless. Then he made him self the top WW in a weak division. He lost to Williams by the time guys like Mosley and Cotto and Berto were taking over the division. He then came back and fought a guy he had already beat, fought Cotto, was getting his ass beat before he stopped him. I thought he cheated. So then he takes on his toughes fight since Williams in Mosley and gets brutally exposed.
In the end I wasn't impressed by him and he string of good luck taking over weak WW division (and not to mention he probably cheated) I used to like him even after the plaster scandal, but then I reviewed his career and he is nothing special.Comment
