He has done pretty well tbh outside of being owned by Mosley, i think he was vastly overated after the Cotto fight tho. "MARG WIL KILL MOSLEY IN JAN" threads proved this.. Cotto fought the exact opposite to what you should do vs Margaritto.

Actually Cotto fought a good fight considering that Margs took away one of his best weapons which is the left hook to the body. Cotto didn't clinch(probably cause it was hard due to Tony's size) and stayed on the ropes too long.

It hasn't been proven though that he cheated in his fights. He got to where he was the hard way too.

Its so easy to be overrated when our at the top a weak division. It was only after Cotto and Mosley that came into the division that they started making him look bad. Cotto was landing shots at will compared to the Lujans and Perez' Margarito was used to fighting. Mosley remember Jan. 24th

He has some. His high workrate and his punching angles, but put any guy like Cotto in the same division that Margarito became #1 at he would of done teh same thing if not faster.
