I've seen lots of Roy Jones' fights, even the ones he lost to Tarver and Johnson. There's no doubt in MY mind but that Jones is the classiest, smoothest, most marvellous fighter I've ever seen.

I tune in nowadays to "youtube" and watch the excerpts from his fights and can only marvel anew each time I see him fight.

The only one I've seen who compares to him in talent and the means "for getting the job done" is Mike Tyson.

This isn't to say that they have similiar styles or anything like that. No, but purely on an aesthetic level.

How many "Jones" come along in a generation? ONE if we're lucky.

The shot version of Jones couldn't win that fight under almost any circumstances. He's just way too terrified of being hit and when the fight got going you could see that Joe was even faster than him at that point in their careers. The moment Cal turned on the flurry machine in round 2 the fight was over. Roy's best chance of winning that fight was in the first round.

c'mon Roy ,u just need to quit the sport, ever since Roy came to the news conference like he just came from a peter pan convention this fight has really no interest at all, then he does a reverse shane mosley move and said he NEEDS his pops , gtfoh roy.i think after the tarver fight if I'm correct, I could be wrong , he said he didnt like having Roy sr around the corner cuz if he would have won he didnt want to let Roy sr get the credit. Roy was one of the sharpest quickest fighters in his prime and was very smooth, before that boring ass fight with Tito he should have quit. Go back to looking for tinker bell before Dawson makes u go to sleep like glen did,

Surely Roy made enough dough to retire now and reflect on an amazing career.

I truly believe RJJ is in danger of tainting his legacy by fighting on.

A prime Calzaghe would of been the same problem for a prime RJJ. And Calzaghe in his prime had a lot of power too!!!

Calzaghe is simply all wrong for Roy!!!!!!!!
yea cause most of his "knockouts" were so legit. instead of looking at boxrec can you do me a favor and actually watch his early fights before his "hand problems" where he had "power." on top of laughing your ass off you will find he never had any power and that's just an excuse his fanboys created.

Whatever makes you sleep at night Roy, A prime version of Joe C gives any version of RJJ a difficult fight..

I think Roy's competetive juices are talking for him......I still think Roy is capable of beating some of the top guys....but Joe is not one of them
