P4P #35 has to come to P4P #1-3. Simple as that.

I honestly never even heard about Joe until like 2003 when Showtime finally started airing his fights. At that time, when questioned he even said himself he wouldn't fancy a Jones fight. He got brave after Jones and Hopkins lost and maybe inspired him enough to think he could beat them in their later stages.

I'm not saying it was anyones fault, but he was a nobody in terms of overall boxing fame and if those fights were to happen, it was up to him to get it done.

So, that said, sure he gets credit for beating those legends even as old as they were, but since I consider Kessler his best win it shows exactly how much credit. Not a whole lot.

Calzaghe's best wins in order: In my opinion, of course.

    1)Kessler
    2)Hopkins
    3)Eubank
    4)Jones
    5)Lacy

Maybe what Jones meant to say was that if his father was actually in the ring with him beating Joe with a 2" by 4" just maybe then he could have beaten Joe. All these could of, should of and would haves get old. The fact is that well after losing to Joe both Hopkins and Jones are still rated in the top ten by everyone including Ring magazine and can most likely still beat many rated fighters at light heavy. So, it is not like you can compare the fights to say Marciano vs. Louis or Ali vs Holmes. I also distinctly remember how many fans said that Jones was going to whoop Calzaghe before the fight. The fact is Calzaghe was a pretty decent fighter in his own right and many American's just can't seem to accept that fact. And in the not so distant future Joe will be standing at a podium in Canastota thanking the IBHOF for inducting him. And guess what? There ain't nothing you all can do about it but to continue to ***** and moan.

Minus a knockdown in the first round, Jones was outfought by a younger, quicker, slicker and more active opponent. Jones blames an inexperienced corner for the loss.
