Arreola has a 10-15% chance of winning, because Vitali is slowing with age (he's 38 now) and because Chris is a tough, determined warrior with a hard heavyweight punch. Older fighters sometimes lose their punch resistance.

However, because Chris is overweight and fairly easy to hit, I think even the current older, slower version of Vitali will probably win.

When you're objective & leave the talk strictly to boxing, you're a pleasure.

Over all I think Arreola will win this fight but there are questions that will only be answered the night of the fight. Some are, will Arreola come in trimmed down and in shape? Have his weight issues been the result of him losing interest in the game and not dedicating himself like he should? Can he sustain an aggressive attack long enough to break down Vitali? Not that that's the only way he can win but he's not going to win a jab contest with Vitali, I don't think. He's good enough and its his time, but will he be ready? I like Vitali a lot, so it doesn't matter who wins the fight but I will be disappointed if Arreola doesn't take full advantage of this opportunity and come in shape.

I don't think Vitali's speed (or increasing lack of it) will be much of a factor here. Arreola is quite slow and has a fairly easy-to-read rhythm with his punches, and Vitali, even at this stage in his career, is pretty good at reading guys and getting the better of exchanges with his short straight punches through the guard. Lessened punch resistance may be a factor, but it's impossible to tell until fight night. Injury could also be a concern. Otherwise, it's Vitali's fight to lose.

Even if Arreola comes in the shape of his life, I still think the Vitali that took out Peter and Gomez would beat him. Arreola isn't totally without a chance, but if he wants to break down Vit he needs to target the body. I don't see him taking Vitali out with headshots, unless Vit has lost his punch resistance overnight.
