And yeah, The Aaron Riley fight really killed the mood. There we much better fights in the prelim they could have shown.

There are a 2 major difference between MMA and boxing.

1. The fighters at MMA are basically fighting with bare knuckles. I was just thinking that HBO did a special on Luis Resto, who took padding off his gloves and fought Collins and beat him severely. When I saw footage of the gloves that Resto used, it looked like it still had 5-6 ounces of padding. Yet MMA fighters use gloves that has less padding. So the probability of ko are higher.

2. MMA fighters do not get standing 8 count to regroup. So, it makes it look like MMA fighters are less able to withstand punches. Can you imagine how many boxing matches would have been stopped if they took away a boxers chance to clear his head.

I didn't I said he has the same kind of power and don't start with the MMA vs Boxing technicalities either.
And no sir it is 'ignorant' to fall for the Ray Robinson legend that he was some sort of boxing God who has no comparison.
Both are very good at what they do and maybe the best P4P ever at their sport so yes their talent can be compared in the way that Tiger Woods is to Michael Jordan.
