MMA fans....help me out....

I am not an MMA fan but have plenty of friends who are. I went to a fight party last night and listened to all of my friends hyping up this Silva vs. Griffin fight. Most in the room seemed to favor Griffin thinking he was going to be too strong for Silva. The touted this Griffin like he was a beast or something. With that said he was knocked out by Silva with a flicking jab while Silva backed up. The punch was obviously powerless yet Griffin was visibly hurt and tapped out. I guess my question is, do true MMA fans think this was exciting? And if so, why?

I told everyone in the room very early in the fight that as long as they were standing up that Griffin had no chance because it was obvious to a novice fight fan that he was severely slow. I left telling myself that I have seen many club show Cruiserweights that would have knocked out Griffin last night. Can MMA fans disagree with that?

Griffin is mostly a grappler who tries to brawl in order to please the fans, he has a weak chin and no power so he was perfect for Silva. Your friends must not watch much MMA is they favoured Griffin, he was a big underdog.

He would get knocked out by a clu show cruiser in any type of match. If a flicking jab KO's him how would he ever be able to shoot and take down a fighter. He would be asleep before it ever happened.

no the thing is anderson isnt ur average fighter forrest took plenty of rashad and rampage punches the thing is everytime anderson threw he was landing on the button
besides its dam near bareknuckle there aint 10oz of gloves between silva is a beast... i was going for forrest cause i like him but i knew he was gunna lose jus didnt think anderson would make him look silly like he did..and know gsp ***** ass aint gunna wanna fight him now..says he wants to be the best pound for pound but wont leave his weight class for a challenge...

i will watch ufc from time to time when no good boxing is on... but damn!!!!... that card almost put me to sleep, i almost didn't go to the club after, i needed a pick me up, i had to start drinking redbull and vodka to get hyped again

btw griffin looked like a biach running outta the ring immediately following the KO ..... run forrest run!!!!!
