Well Pernell didn't beat Chavez, Tito, or DLH...(although he clearly beat Chavez)

I'm not arguing resumes I'm saying Floyd is pound for pound overall a better fighter than Pernell...

      Executioner,I don't mean u no disrespect,as I'm sure u don't mean me,so we should just agree to disagree,but if u make a poll,I do believe Sweetpea takes it!!

With a biased Pac fan loving forum a poll would be pointless...you can have your opinion...I'm not talking about resumes...I said who's better overall...Floyd is a more complete fighter than Pernell...

Pernell didn't carry his power onto higher weightclasses...Pernell was a master defensive wizard but he wasn't big in the power department

Was floyd??Who did he ko at 147,or for that matter 154,outside of Judah,if u could call it that!!Ricky, maybe,Sweetpea would have made him quit, before then!!Winning is great, but it's better if the fighter u beat, was legite!!I know Sweetpea lost to DLH & Trinidad, but he fought the prime speciments!!Mosley lost to Winky, twice, but he fought, could floyd beat him, nope, but he wouldn't even fight!!That's the difference between good fighters & great fighters, the heart to fight the best, regardless of the outcome!!

You brought up a bunch of IF's

            1. Pernell didn't KO any top fighters at 147...just like Floyd your best bet was to pick him by decision
            2. The top fighters Pernell beat he decisioned ALL of them
            3. Pernell wouldn't have stopped Zab...Zab's speed wudda gave Pernell some problems early on as well

Shane Mosley doesn't have nothing to do with this...

Pernell was not a complete fighter...he did everything well but he couldn't make you respect his power...

Leonard would laugh at Pernell's punches...he probably would laugh at Floyd's too tho
