It's not rocket science. Boxing compared to MMA is one dimensional because in MMA there's grappling, kicking, boxing, fighting. It's called Mixed Martial Arts for a reason. While in boxing, well, it's only boxing. But i still love boxing way more than MMA and i think the best MMA'ers are stikers(boxers).


Roy Jones has always praised MMA even when he wasn't promoting MMA fighters. He has said in past interviews and articles, that he respects MMA as much as boxing because they are both combat sports where a person is risking his health once he enters the boxing ring/octagon.

Hes just trying to hype a fight with Silva. WHats he going to say, MMA sucks, their fighters are crap but "hey, please pay to watch me whoop Silva across the ring?"

The fight wont happen but he wants it to happen thats for sure. He knows its easy money for a short night of work.

Of course boxing is one dimensional compared to MMA. However, the possibilities that exist in that dimension are what makes boxing so great; something that will never die.

What I seriously hate, makes my blood boil, is when UFC fighters say boxers only use their arms. What about theirs legs? Ali, SRL, Pacquiao, Mayweather, I mean be serious now, that is a very important part of boxing.
