It's not rocket science. Boxing compared to MMA is one dimensional because in MMA there's grappling, kicking, boxing, fighting. It's called Mixed Martial Arts for a reason. While in boxing, well, it's only boxing. But i still love boxing way more than MMA and i think the best MMA'ers are stikers(boxers).


Roy Jones has always praised MMA even when he wasn't promoting MMA fighters. He has said in past interviews and articles, that he respects MMA as much as boxing because they are both combat sports where a person is risking his health once he enters the boxing ring/octagon.

He owes it to the sport of boxing, the sport that gave him rich and fame, to support it and not MMA. You don't see athletes/professionals in different situations big up their top competition. If Roy is talking about how MMA is this and that it sure in the hell isn't helping the sport of boxing.

Was watching espn.com and they were showing prefight interviews and commentary live from tonight's UFC. Well Roy Jones was in the panel because he is somewhat associated with promoting MMA. They asked him a question about how boxers say MMA have no striking skills. Roy Jones went on to say that boxing is one dimensional and that of course a boxer will be better at striking because he is supposed to be a master at that one thing. He later sucks MMA stating MMA is not one dimensional, it takes alot of skill, how he praises the MMA fighters and how he will probably be involved in an UFC type match. What a hypocrite....

So hypocrite Roy was there live when he witnessed Anderson Silva annihilate Forrest Griffin.
