Am glad you made the thread, I was also tired of reading people like steve kim and his disciplines use every excuse in the book to try and convince people that the fight wasnt selling.

You see the media is a powerful tool and they like to use their influence to sway some dumb boxing fans especially those who dont like Mayweather.

Hatton wasnt a big star in America when Mayweather fought him.
But when Pacquiao fought Hatton.. America Already knew who he was from the floyd fight and 24/7. in short Hatton brought
more to the table in the pacquiao fight than he did in the Mayweather fight..

and Pacquiao still didnt outsell Mayweather...

This fight will do fine. People are over estimating how many boxing fan dont like mayweather and wont pay for his fights. And people are underestimating JMM draw, especially in the Hispanic demographic. I went to his fight here in houston vs Diaz. Ive been to every Diaz fight hes ever had in Houston and none have even come close to the atomsphere of the Diaz fight. There were more fans here in Houston (Diaz's home town) for JMM than for Diaz. Hes the face of mexican boxing right now. With this fight being on a mexican holiday im sure that will give it a boost.

furthermore. what people are underestimating is May's draw on the sport. i have said it before.

whether people are tuning in to see May Win or Lose. they are tuning in because of him.

there are going to be tons of people tuning in b/c they are May fanss but there will be even those who love to hate him but actually is a "fan" deep down b/cof his abilities. they will tune in not b/c they are a fan of JMM. they will be tuning in just b/c they want to see May if this guy is stillperfect. so it doesnt matter who hes fighting.

at the end of the day May generates the interest and is the cash cow.

i mean, this is a tune up. its not "supposed" to out do Cotto-PAC but it will come close or beat their numbers

Who wants to bet me 100k that Floyd vs JMM will be sold out. The $300 tickets are released in limited view. With 24/7, WWE, and the fight nearing it will be a gaurentee sell out.

JMM doesn't sell tickets. He fought Chris John in Indonesia, Juan Diaz in Houston. JMM is a P4P fighter that can't sell any tickets. Both these fights will be sell outs so does it really matter who sells out 1st. The thing that I'm happy about is this undercard is sick.
