Excited about Mayweather coming back. Hopefully after this he goes after the winner of Pacquiao-Cotto and not sidestep. Unless Marquez wins which would be a shocker.

2 75 percent for a prize fight thats been anounced since may 5th(3 months lol) is way too long to take for a so-called boxing draw to sell out a fight. especially a ppv fight and in an arena that only holds 16k.

lol at 10k tickets sold in 3 months.
That's true!! When I look for the Pac-JMM2 tickets, the lowest Priced Tickets were gone within an hour. So I end up with the 2nd Lower Priced tickets. It's been 3 months already since they announced this fight and they haven't sold out the lowest Price tickets?? I won't be surprise if they Bribe JMM to fake an injury so they can Cancel this fight.

then they sell them for 10x's the amount
plus the promoters buy alot of seats to give to sponsors
only about 10% of regular fans like us get to actually buy tickets

          those numbers mean ****

Im not hating on the fight im just telling you how it goes down
Bull****. Actually, for a big fight, only about 300 of those tickets are comped to sponsors and others. Promoters can't make any money if they give all the tickets away, even on a PPV show. They can't rely solely on the PPV money. And those who buy tickets in bulk to scalp them will actually sell them, some at market rate an hour before the fight. So the promoter will get their money regardless. I bet this fight will have more PPV's than Pac-Cotto

Good point. However, I bet the Mayweather/JMM fight will sell more than Pac/Cotto.

If Mayweather vs JMM beats Pac-Cotto in PPV buys it would be surprising. It would also mean Mayweather will get more than 50% split. Especially because JMM isn't a bigger draw than Cotto.

The fight was delayed or it would have sold out quicker. Actually that is about the average length of time, unless the fight involves two superstars like Mayweather/De La Hoya (sold out in two hours) or Mayweather/Hatton (sold out in 30 minutes). I don't even know if Pac/Hatton was a sellout, but I do know it didn't sell out fast even if it was. Once 24/7 debuts, it will definitely sell out. I doubt Pac/Cotto will sell out.

I agree. If Mayweather/Pac fight, Mayweather will get more than 50 percent. Also, ask yourself a question. What was Pacquaio's biggest PPV number prior to De La Hoya and Hatton, both of who were the draws in their bouts? Pac does not draw big numbers. Neither does Cotto. Together they will do a decent amount, but still less than Mayweather/JMM.

On a sidenote, a Mayweather/Pac fight will not happen because Cotto will KO Pac. I guarantee it!

Anyone can complain as much as they like about Floyd fighting JMM, but you can't take away the fact that they have put together a very good card that any Boxing fan would enjoy.

Who ever isn't buying this fight because they are pissed with Floyd fighting JMM will be cutting there nose to spite there face, because as a Boxing fan they will be missing a good card that any Boxing fan would enjoy.
